"Relentless" will be our theme/motto for 2017/2018

"This year, we will be Relentless in teaching and serving our students, which leads me to share
our theme for this year with you. "Relentless" will be our theme/motto.  We are going to start
the school year off on a positive note and stay positive throughout the year as
we seek to provide great educational experiences for all of our students."

2017-2018 yearbook

Yearbook
On Sale Now

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our online store has been set up and you may begin ordering your child’s 2017-2018 yearbook. The cost for the yearbook is $25. The book is once again in full color and will include every student in our school. This book will be approximately 72 pages in length which is about 25 more pages than last year's book. The book will be available to order online from now until March or we sell out by hitting our sales goal, whichever comes first. This year we are also trying something new to make the yearbook a little more special, the 5th grade parents will be able to purchase what we are calling a “shout out” to their students. You will be able to have a message in the yearbook with a special picture of your choice. All “shout outs” will be the size of a business card and will cost $10. Again, this is for 5th grade only. We know your family will want to see these precious memories, so please don’t wait to order your child’s book.

Tussing's Friendship Rock

Friendship Rock

If a student (or an adult) is lonely and doesn’t have anyone to play with during recess, they can go over and sit on the rock, and others will see them and go over to invite them to play.

A special thank you to the Colonial Heights Recreation Department and City of Colonial Heights Public Works for the donation of the rock and moving it to its location on our playground.

Tussing serves grades K-5 and about 630 students. On September 7, 2010 Tussing Elementary began its 35th year, and has seen many changes over the years. Most recently the school was renovated by adding a new addition, which took place in 2008. We hope you enjoy visiting our website, and if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at (804) 524-3440.
