Virginia School Quality Profile - Online report card that provides detailed information on student achievement by subject and grade level. The report card also provides data on other key indicators of school quality.

School and Parent Compact - A School-Parent Compact for Achievement is an agreement that parents, students, and teachers develop together that describes the partnership between home and school.

CHPS Parent and Family Engagement Policy - Each school receiving funds under Title I, Part A, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) must develop a written school-parent involvement policy jointly with parents for all children participating in Title I, Part A, activities, services, and programs. That policy must comply with Section 1118(b) of the ESEA and shall describe the means for carrying out the requirements of subsections (c) through (f). This policy must be reviewed annually.

CHPS District Parent Involvement Policy 

Parent's Right To Know - On January 8, 2002, the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) was signed into law. Section 1111(h)(6)(A) states that as a parent of a student at at a school receiving Title I funds, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers instructing your child.

Required Parent Notifications - Federal code, state code, and Virginia School Boards Association policy set certain requirements for school divisions regarding annual notifications, public hearings, and postings. Colonial Heights Public Schools has addressed each of the requirements as listed on the division website.
