Student Activities & Extracurriculars
SCA
Tussing's SCA is made up of school SCA leaders and class representatives. The SCA helps raise money for organizations, puts on special events at the school, represents Tussing in the annual city Christmas parade, and more!

Drama Club
The Tussing Drama Club, one of Tussing's fastest growing clubs, puts on various performances throughout the year.

Run Club
The Run Club at Tussing meets often after school to run in the are neighborhoods and attends Richmond-area races together. They complete runs such as the Richmond Monument 10K Kids Run, the Carmax Tacky Light Run, and the Colonial Heights Turkey Trot as a group.

Science Club
This group of students are passionate about Science and spend their meetings exploring scientific principles and concepts with experts like CHHS Biology teacher Tracy Boyd and the Colonial Heights Police forensics/investigations unit. They also do an annual science fair!

Chess Club
This newer club at Tussing was started for after-school chess playing for those students who are passionate about chess or would like to learn how to play.

Tussing Chorus
Tussing's chorus performs at various special events both at the school and in the community.

SwimRVA
All of our Tussing 2nd grade students complete swim lessons through SwimRVA. These lessons, held at Virginia State University's pool, help all of our students gain confidence and skills necessary to be successful swimmers.

Bucket Drumming Group
Taking inspiration from North Elementary School, Tussing recently started their own bucket drumming group!
