Pennies for Patients Program 2018

Our school joins 27,000 schools nationwide in the Pennies for Patients Program.  Beginning March 12 – March 29, we will help children who are sick with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. All you have to do is collect coins or dollars and put them in your collection box.  When your collection box gets full, turn in your money to your teacher to put the money you’ve collected in the classroom box.  You may reuse your box throughout the 3 weeks.

If your class comes in 1st place they will win an Olive Garden Pasta Party.

Our goal this year is to raise $2,000.  PLEASE help us out by sending whatever you can.

Thank You,
Tussing SCA

Tussing's Friendship Rock

Friendship Rock

If a student (or an adult) is lonely and doesn’t have anyone to play with during recess, they can go over and sit on the rock, and others will see them and go over to invite them to play.

A special thank you to the Colonial Heights Recreation Department and City of Colonial Heights Public Works for the donation of the rock and moving it to its location on our playground.

Tussing serves grades K-5 and about 630 students. On September 7, 2010 Tussing Elementary began its 35th year, and has seen many changes over the years. Most recently the school was renovated by adding a new addition, which took place in 2008. We hope you enjoy visiting our website, and if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at (804) 524-3440.
